Tips to clean shower glass

Cleaning bathroom is the toughest household chore. Removing the hard water spots and soap scum from the shower glass door is quite a task. Since this area is used everyday, keeping it clean and spotless is not an easy job. But worry no more. Here are some handy tricks to keep your glass doors shiny and spotless.

Remove soap scums

Over time soap scum build up on the shower glass and wears away the shine and transparency of the glass door. White vinegar will do the trick here. You will be surprised to see the wonder it does on such stubborn scum build up. So here is the no cost trick:

Warm a cup of vinegar and mix it with a cup of warm water. Fill the solution in a spray bottle. Spray the solution on the glass door and leave it for a minute. Scrub the surface of the glass door using a sponge. You don’t have to scrub hard or for long. The scum will come out easily. Finally rinse off the glass with warm water and dry it with a cotton cloth.

The only down side of this tip is the pungent smell of vinegar. But it will go away after few showers.

You can also use glass cleaners availabe in market.  But it will cost you some money.

Remove hard water spots

If you live in a city or locality where the supply water is hard, then you must be familiar with the white stubborn spots on your shower glass door. Here also white vinegar solution will do its magic. Clean the hard water spots the same way you removed the soap scum build up.

    For some reason, I can never get the water stains off of my glass shower door. No matter how hard I try, they just wont come off. So I really appreciate you talking about this Divya!
