The advantage offered by OLED and curved TVs is that they offer a better picture and contrast quality, consume less energy, and provide a more immersive viewing experience. The downside is that they are a bit on the pricey side and the curved TVs also require you to sit at a certain specific angle.

But, whether the curved and OLED TVs are worth investing your money in or not depends on the usage of your TV. If you only watch movies and other such shows on your TV, it is better to just get a bigger 4K TV. However, if you prefer sports events, gaming, and HD 4K movies, getting a curved or OLED TV for yourself will be a good idea. Just make sure to follow your budget and the TV buying guide to get the best TV for your home.

Which set-top box is best?

Set-top boxes can be broadly divided into two categories i.e., Standard and HD. If you have HD or HD ready TV, it is necessary to go for the HD set-top box to watch any channel. The Standard set-top boxes don’t support HD channels. However, within the HD set-top boxes, you can choose between regular HD, HD recorder (DVR), and the 4K ready HD box. Since only a few events are broadcasted in 4K at present, so it will not be such a good decision to invest in it yet.

So, the set-top box that can be considered more sensible and worth buying at this point is an HD recorder or DVR HD box. On this set-top box, you will be able to watch all the Standard and HD channels and content.
