Another common problem that people who use coffee makers face is the fact that the brewed coffee does not remain very warm. This is an indicator of a problem with the heating element placed in the device. You can make use of an electrical tester so that you can check the correct functioning as well as the continuity of the keep warm switch. Also, when the brewing process is going on, you must check for the auto shut off switch to ensure if it is in the correct position.
