A few days ago in Mumbai, I attended a glitzy launch press meet of a new range of lifestyle fans launched by Orient Electric, one of India’s largest electrical appliances manufacturers. The products had been shrewd in mystery until that day of the launch. The new range of products was in-line with Orient Electric’s long-term vision of cementing their position in the hot and upcoming consumer lifestyle segment.
Aside from the flagship product (Bladeless fan), the company also launched three other fans that are (in my opinion) the pioneers in design and technology breakthroughs.
The event was hosted by Mr. Atul Jain, who is the SVP and Business Head – Fans and has been credited with the launch of many other progressive lifestyle fans over the past couple of years including the renowned Aero Series fans. Mr. Atul Jain walked us through everything we needed to know about the company and the innovations it has been doing in the consumer lifestyle segment.
Everyone’s beloved and Orient’s long-time brand ambassador Anushka Sen aka ‘Chikki’ was also there to launch the products and brighten up the event with her presence. Here are some pictures from the launch set:
Orient claims the lifestyle-focused range of fans has been specially designed to add glam quotient to your home interiors. You will have to make an effort to go up close to the product to notice how quiet they are compared to most other fans out there. So, let’s talk about the four new products Orient has launched.
Orient Bladeless
The Orient Bladeless Fan is a thing of beauty. Designed to circulate air through the entire room, the fan can be used optimally in conjunction with say an Air Conditioner to ensure proper distribution of uninterrupted air across every corner of the room – floor to ceiling, wall to wall. It not only helps in air circulation but also temperature distribution.
The fan pulls in the air from the bottom to create a smooth and uninterrupted stream of air through its outlet – which is just an oval disc – a beautiful, curvaceous oval disc.
The Orient Bladeless comes with remote control and has a 7.5 hr standby timer. It’s extremely light so you don’t need to be lifting weights to lift this one. You can somply carry it anywhere in your home with utmost ease.
When you look at the product, it’s a true amalgamation of form and function. Which means it does its job very efficiently, very silently, doesn’t need a dedicated space, and presents no inconvenience at all.
From the outside, the product brims with elegance and quality. And since it has no spinning blades, it is absolutely safe to keep it anywhere. Although that’s not entirely recommended. But you can be rest assured there will be no accidental chopping of fingers since there are no accessible moving blades.
On top of it all, Orient Bladeless lifestyle fan has inbuilt ambient light withcolorcolour options including Off-White, Green, Purple and Blue which you can choose from to create the right atmosphere to match your mood. The curvaceous fan comes complete with a remote control for convenience and ease of operation.

Orient Monroe (Tower Fan)
There are few tower fans already in the market but you would not have seen one as sleek and yet powerful as the Orient Monroe tower fan. Tower fans offer up as a good alternative to pedestal fans. The Orient Monroe tower fan occupies no (considerable) space and works so silently you’ll hardly ever notice it is there. It’s perfect for all types of settings be it home, office or any closed space.
